Important Message – Rehearsals!
(Please see UPDATES – 2/6/2017)
Dear Cast and Parents of cast members,
We had quite a problem this Saturday with rehearsal. We had called for all nuns to be at Seton for rehearsal from 9-10:30 We were missing 18!!! nuns. In addition, most of those who did come, were tardy. The nuns have the most challenging vocal numbers. They sing 4 part harmonies and it is simply impossible to learn the music when we are missing more nuns than we actually had there. There was only ONE cast member who let us know ahead of time that she would not be able to be there.
We are going to try to do a better job of communicating and are asking that everyone make an extra effort to know when you are needed at rehearsals. THE MOST UP-TO-DATE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE WILL BE LOCATED AT setontheatre.com Click on the Spring Musical Tab and it will be right at the top of the page. In addition, we will also be sending out a weekly reminder to help keep us all on the same page!
Please let Mrs. VW. know ASAP if you will not be able to make any of your assigned rehearsal times. [email protected]
There are of course good reasons for not making a rehearsal….. however, we need to be told ahead of time if you are not able to make a rehearsal so we can schedule accordingly. Tardiness and unexcused absences aren’t fair to the cast members who showed up or to the director, musical director or accompanist who sacrificed their time to be there.
Participation fee and deposit
If you haven’t already turned in your family’s two checks, please give to Mrs. VW as soon as possible
- Two separate checks, made out to Seton School
- Participation fee- $15 per cast member or $25 family max
- Strike and chaperone deposit – $50 per family. This check will be returned at the cast party if the student participates in strike and if parent helps with chaperoning.
The rehearsal schedule has been updated through the end of February. Please note that the NUNS will have rehearsal this next Saturday. This is a change to the schedule! There are a few additional changes to the schedule. PLEASE look again at dates previously posted to be sure you know your schedule. Changes have been made.
*Also, just a heads-up for next month: Saturday, March 11 is the day of the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Manassas. Rehearsal that day will be an afternoon rehearsal, beginning at 1:00 pm. More details will be coming later as to who will be needed at that rehearsal.*
