The following list is not comprehensive but will hopefully be helpful in preparing for the 2019-2020 school year. Please click on the tabs for the different academic departments to see each course and the supplies required for that course. You can also download and print the list by clicking on the button below the tabs. The list will be updated as more information is received.

1 1/2 to 2 inch binder, with loose leaf paper and 4 dividers.

English

Reading 7

  • 1.5″ or 2”  3 ring binder with pockets. The more durable the better. Do not combine Reading binder with the binder of another subject-it will get too heavy.
  • 3 plastic separators with pockets for binder—Tabs should be labeled: Calendar, Notes/Stories, Quizzes/Tests
  • 1 3-prong folder, with pockets (cardboard or plastic–no black colors) Please insert– and secure with the 3 prongs–25 sheets of loose-leaf paper and write student’s name on folder cover with a Sharpie marker. This will be the Reading Journal.
  • loose leaf paper-wide rule. Reinforced loose leaf is recommended, especially if your student is not gentle with their items 🙂
  • Pens: 5 black ball point pens for homework, quizzes and tests, plus 2 red pens for correcting.  No gel type pens as they bleed through loose leaf.
  • Highlighter–any color
  • Dictionary–for at home use. It must have pronunciations for all words. Do not purchase pocket dictionaries as your student will not be able to find definitions and pronunciations for all the words they will be assigned.
  • 1 paper bag to create a book cover for Reading book.

Grammar 7 – Mrs. Summers

  •  1 package of 5 tab dividers
  •  1 package of pencils
  •  1 package each of red and black pens
  •  3 packages of 3″ x 5″ index cards
  •  1 package of colored pencils

There is a statistical software package as well as an electronic version of the text on the website so it is not necessary to purchase the hardcover textbook, however, students are encouraged to purchase or rent a textbook (even a past edition) if they do not think they will readily read an electronic version.
